Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do
you have so few dealers listed on your dealers page?
A: We are a small company and do not want to manage
a lot of dealers. We ask our dealers to compete on
service and not on price
Q: Why do
you sell direct and why should I buy from a dealer?
A: We accept orders when there is no dealer available.
We expect dealers can offer you advice and service.
Q: I have a problem with you or something you made,
what should I do?
A: Please send an email to purple@purpleaudio.com,
we normally respond quickly and doing it via email
keeps it organized. If you include your serial number
and shipping address we will have the information
we need to help.
Q: I want
a deal - because - do you know who I know?
A: Everyone wants a deal
Q: Why is
your stuff sometimes backordered?
A: We make small batches and try to manage our inventory
to keep stock but we are sometimes surprised by demand
or a change in a delivery date for a part.
Q: Do you
sell parts for equipment you didn't make?
A: Sometimes, but you would have to email us to get
any response to request like that.
Q: Why don't
you sell your MC77 kits anymore?
A: We offered the kits for a time but it did not make
sense for our business.
Q: Why aren't
you in the VPR alliance?
A: We were told that we could not officially make
racks as a member of the VPR alliance.
We feel we
have to make racks in part because there are problems
with the VPR specification and the adherence to that
specifcation by some of the members.
